Starting off the new year strong - GGJ 2019

For a third year in a row I have participated in the annual Global Game Jam, this time in Bristol- @The Foundry in UWE.
This year it was quite extraordinary because I learned so much new things. I literally milked my teammates for information about making game from a designer point of view as to what a unity programmer/ developer may need and how to prepare my assets. We didn't end up winning but it was a win for me personally. On top of everything, I had lots of fun, lots of pizza and little to no sleep. |

Christmas Stickers and Cards
Christmas is coming! This is a throwback to when I made Christmas stickers for the university's Christmas Charity Fair. I remember printing so mady Christmas cards and stickers that until this day I still have a bunch of them left. If you are ever in a need of a creepy christmas card or illustrations/stickers for music videos or personal use- you know who to contact! (this is not sponsored by Coca-Cola)

Traveling Update
It's been a while since I have posted on my website but that is because I have taken a break from university and done some traveling around Europe. I have continued to sketch as per usual but I haven't really done anything 3D wise. A major update is that I recently moved to London for a chance of finding more work opportunities. Soon I will be taking up 3D again. Until then you can follow me on my Instagram account @v.kavanozova and @v.kavanozova2 for a followup on everything art related I do.
On top of that I have prodeced a few abstract canvases which were on sale until awhile back but are now all sold out. Thank you to the people who suppoted me and bought my art!

UWE Animation Degree Show 2018
Personally I was amazed how well we did as a class to showcase our work in a way that would both make a person's individual skills pop out and also showcase our work as a class in a unique and themed style.
In the pictures bellow you could see my work and the degree show itself before the guests arrived. My 'board' has my Zbrush renders printed of fine quality paper alongside rendered shots taken from my 3D Short Film 'Rebirth' and a 3D printed model. I had another space where I put my other 3D printed models and was extremely happy with the whole presentation!
As part of the design theme for the degree show I organized the look of the show, helped make this come together and worked on some designs for our e-invitations and create an ident that unfortunately didn't make the cut. (you could see it on the right)

Final university screening
This is how little time there is until my final university screening. After my deadline, I will spend more time on developing my website. Currently a lot of my newest work is missing, but soon all will be uploaded.
A special shout-out to my year's University Degree Show which will be happening on the 7th June and will continue until the 14th of the same month. Come and drop by at UWE (Bristol, UK) to see my work live. More information soon to be revealed. |

Global Game Jam 2018 Bristol, UK
It's this time of the year again, where the annual Global Game Jam (GGJ) is held and this time I have the amazing opportunity to participate again and on top of that to do it in another country! Last year, same time, I was still in America and The Richmond Global Game Jam was my first Jam ever!
For more insight into how that went, who I met and how it all turned out, you can check my blog from America:
For this year I was in a team of 5 (including me) and we managed to make a 3D shooter game called 'Mucus Man' with the team of the Game Jam being 'Transmission'. The aim of the game was to 'transmit' your disease to the number of people you are given at the start of each level. In the upper levels there are policemen in bio suits trying to stop you.

December- what's new
BBC Listening Project: Children in Need - Francesca and Lizbeth
The BBC Listening Project is 'a partnership between BBC Radio 4, BBC local and national radio stations, and the British Library'. It was a project that was given to me and two more animation students from The BBC via UWE. After choosing a 30 second part of a recorded audio file, we formed a group of three (including me) and started animating over it in a tight deadline. Roles in the project:

Spoftwares used: TvPaint, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop
